Harvest: 2x the Treasure
The March Harvest Night & Outreach included a "Treasure Hunt." This type of outreach involves asking the Lord for specific "treasures" to look for while on the streets. He is faithful to guide and direct our steps and will impress team members with colors, clothing items, names of people, etc. to look for.
On this particular night, a team stopped at a local laundromat and one of the members, Lilly, engaged a young woman by offering her one of the roses we bring along to give to women. Recognizing Lilly, she exclaimed, "You gave my sister a rose before!"
Lilly then remembered that on a previous Treasure Hunt, the team had looked for the color pink as impressed by the Lord. While driving back to the missions base at the end of the night, they noticed a girl outside a gas station wearing head-to-toe pink. Swinging back around, the team engaged her in conversation while handing her a rose. She called out to her sisters, who were in the car, to come out and join in for prayer. This young woman they were encountering at the laundromat was one of those sisters and she was in awe that it was happening again.
Our team shared how much God loves her and that He'd just shown her that He sees her, and the young woman received Christ as her Savior. The team returned to the missions base full of joy and hope, knowing that, as always, God had led them to a beautiful treasure.
Want to go out with our team? Come to Harvest Night at 6:30pm on the first Friday of the month at Harvest Movement.
